Peyman Akbari Kharazi, Deputy for Planning and Development at Mabna Card Aria Trading Company, predicted that the continued expansion of online services would gradually lead to a decline in the number of bank branches, while customers’ needs would evolve in response to rapid technological advancements. However, he emphasized that fewer branches would not necessarily mean less demand for banking hardware; rather, the form and functionality of such equipment would evolve.

In an interview with Chabok Online, Akbari Kharazi stated that Mabna Card Aria operates in the payment and payment technology sector, adding that one of the products the company is currently focusing on, and has already introduced to the market, is its “Service Desk” solution.

He explained that although the number of physical bank branches may gradually decrease, the public’s demand for banking services will remain and may even continue to grow. Consequently, customers will increasingly require remote banking and self-service solutions. These solutions, he noted, are not limited to mobile phones but also encompass a variety of hardware devices available in international markets, some of which are expected to be introduced to the Iranian market in the near future.

The Deputy for Planning and Development at Mabna Card Aria concluded that the shift in banks’ operating models would not result in a reduction in banking equipment. Instead, it would lead to the introduction of new types of equipment incorporating different technologies to meet the evolving needs of the banking industry.
